50 Years Into the Future
I feel the biggest changes that will be made in 50 years will have to do with technology, physical shape, medicine, and the recession. Technology will be more advanced with cars, computers, etc. People may have flying cars or computers will be all touch screen instead of buttons. The obesity rate will lower in America because people will start realizing how unhealthy their eating habits are and we will be more fit and able to do more things. The recession may pull over and people will be able to work and make more money again , in order to support their families. New advancements in medicine will be made like a cure for cancerous diseases, AIDS, or HIV.

Digital Story #2
This video was a good experience for me to learn more about the book we are reading in class, "The Story of a Shipwrecked Sailor". By making a powerpoint I showed and shared my knowledge of the story with my classmates. The book is very interesting to read so far. It really is a plot and gets me interested in reading it. Marquez used Imagery very well in the story to give the reader a visual image of what was going on in the situation. The story is very detailed and I love reading it.

My Culture and I
This video is a little about what my culture is and some of the things I like. I added pictures from mostly my mom's side because I grew up only knowing about that culture. Because my father's parents were adopted he never learned much about his culture and they didn't have many pictures to show about my dad's family. I also included in my video some of the music/bands I like and my friends.
Reflection: I thought this video project was a good way to better understand about our classmates culture and what they like. By making these videos we learned to interact with pictures, audio, videos, music, etc. This was a good way to express ourselves and show about our culture and interests/hobbies.

Family Story
When I was maybe 2 years old, my parents and I moved into our new house in Staten Island. We had recently moved from our apartment in Brooklyn and I wasn't used to having stairs going up and down in the house. I wanted to climb up them in the worst way but my mom wouldn't let me because she was afraid I was going to get hurt. So, as a result of not being able to go up the stairs, I got mad and walked over to my dad on the couch. He was lying down so I took out my anger on him and slapped his face. My parents were hysterical laughing.

Pan's Advisory Helps Diabetes
On Friday my advisory decided we needed a fundraiser. We were the only advisory that wasn't collecting money for a cause or disease so we decided to collect money for Diabetes awareness. One of the students in my advisory went around the class with an envelope to collect a couple of dollars from each student. I thought this was a great idea because, for example Ms. Pepe's advisory is collecting money for Breast Cancer by persuading students to buy a bear or ribbon. The money will then contribute to Breast Cancer and help many women in need. I know a few people who have diabetes and I know the affect if they have to much sugar in their system. So, maybe by collecting this money we can help them live a better life. I hope our fundraiser for Diabetes will help these people in need and have a healthier life. And maybe we might give out ribbons for diabetes since next month, November, is diabetes month.

What the Economy is doing to CSI
We've recently heard that our school is somewhat broke. The economy has really affected our school and because of it we can't afford to have certain tutoring classes for students in need. Trips have been canceled because the school simply can not make the money. But how does this affect the students? Well for one thing there's no tutoring at the moment and many worksheets or papers can not be given to all students because there is such a shortage on paper. But it seems as if the school is trying to pull together. I mean it's not that bad, we still have our classrooms and athletic teams. The school is staying under control.

Blogs In Education
Blogs used today help people express their ideas, discuss a certain topic and other people can comment on what they think. If we use blogs in school students will have the chance to have a voice and express their ideas. With students using blogs in education and/or in school they will learn to build collaboration skills. With this skill they will learn how to negotiate with one another or in a group. This could also be a benefit for teachers because they can use the blogs to post homework for the students to read. This will save paper and will be more convenient for students because we go online everyday. Students could use the blog to post their own homework up for the teacher to look over. If students are stuck on the homework they can ask the teachers for help through comments on the blog. Students can also write what they think about a certain topic to gain feedback about what other students think about it.
